From the beginning, a brief history.
What began as a mission to solve the inefficiencies at one brokerage became a revolution
to the industry's long held management practices. A tech team who has built systems
for telecommunication companies, music industry magazines, and a wide range of private
companies are now focused on rebuilding real estate with an online platform. The
concept for BackAgent began in 2005 and the early stages of the system used today
were developed in late 2007. Our first additional client signed on in 2009. Marketed
mainly by word of mouth and client referrals we grew to 30 brands in 2010, 140 brands
in 2012, 320 brands in 2014, and we are now deployed to over 480 brands. As a businees,
we have been steadily growing 80% each year over the past four years. We continue
to grow and expand that number each and every day—curious which brands?
With over 100,000 active associates in brokerage accounts from as little as 3 to
numerous thousands, we have built a system that has proven to be flexible and reliable
for any size firm. Built on a Microsoft .Net platform, the systems that handle the
various BackAgent services have been carefully built and tested to handle the continued
growth and support for our expanding client base.
Our most notable trait is our focus on building a system that is inherently easy
to use and manage. We take great pride in knowing that we have one of the most customizable,
easy to use, and robust systems available in the real estate industry. The system
has benefited from a collaboration of real estate brokers and technical gurus alike
to produce a very well respected and easily adopted product, continually kept current
